I used discord footage to record a conversation between myself and my boyfriend. This is our main source of communication during the lockdown. Using my ‘Biometric Face Net’ lens I recorded over footage of one of our conversations. I wanted to bring my lens to life by using it on moving sources rather than still image. 

 

I emphasize the feeling of intrusion and invasion of privacy whilst reflecting the paranoia stigma behind computer cameras and the sense of being monitored by our devices. (e.g. covering laptop cameras with blue tac).

 

Many people are currently using video footage softwares during the lockdown, (such as Google Meets, FaceTime etc). ‘Disc?’ has been made to demonstrate our lack of anonymity in the digital world.
